Clifton Suspension Bridge

                                                    Statement of Intent

The audience of my Image set is intended to be fellow OU students on TZFM201. I intend my audience to wonder at the magnificence of the iconic Clifton suspension Bridge designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, which has become the iconic symbol of Bristol.

I will capture two sets of three images; during daytime these will be views of the bridge from above and below and in front of, on the Clifton side, the Egyptian-influenced supporting tower. A second set of three images will be shot at night, above and below to capture the bridge illumination and hopefully light trails of vehicles crossing the bridge. The photographs will be in landscape and portrait format and candid intended to capture the brilliance of Brunel's engineering design of one of the few remaining metal suspension bridges in the World. I hope my audience will agree with me that Clifton Suspension Bridge deserves its Grade 1 listed structure conservation status.
